GROWING flowers will be child’s play for youngsters at King’s Oak Nursery, in Greenock.

Especially after Cardwell Garden Centre donated everything the children needed to make their garden grow and give their playground a splash of colour.

The popular garden centre, near Gourock donated lily bulbs and bags of compost to the nursery, so the kids can learn all about gardening and growing plants and flowers.

Toddler group leader, Elizabeth Rankin said: “The youngsters just love gardening and getting their hands dirty.

“It’s great that Cardwell agreed to donate the bulbs and compost and we’re very grateful for their support.”

Paul Carmichael, Cardwell’s retail general manager said: “There’s no better way to learn about plants and gardening than to actually do some gardening yourself.

‘I’m sure the kids will have a great time planting the bulbs and watching them grow into colourful flowers.”
