Crafty Little Growers Club!
Youngsters went potty at the weekend planting flowers at Cardwell Garden Centre’s new club for kids.
More than 20 children signed up for the Crafty Little Growers’ Club at the garden centre, near Gourock and enjoyed an hour-long session of arts and crafts as well as learning how to plant cress, sunflowers and chincherinchee bulbs in their own pots.
Now green-fingered youngsters are looking forward to next month’s Crafty Little Growers’ Club being held on Sunday, June 3 between 11am and noon.
As well as the garden-themed arts and crafts and planting activities, every youngster is given a voucher for a half-price children’s meal, in Cardwell’s Patio Restaurant.
Cardwell’s retail general manager, Paul Carmichael said: “The youngsters had lots of fun with the crayons and compost. They also learned a few things from our gardening experts who were on hand to tell them all about planting seeds and bulbs.”
