Youngsters can be like Detective Pikachu in the new Pokemon movie when they pay a visit to Cardwell Garden Centre, this weekend.

They can take part in a Pokemon Treasure Hunt and look for clues to solve a mystery just like Pikachu does in the soon-to-be released Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie.

The popular garden centre, near Gourock is staging a Pokemon-themed Family Fun Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, between 10am and 4pm.

Pokemon fans will get the chance to meet a real-life Detective Pikachu mascot, who will be going round Cardwell investigating how much fun kids can have.

There will be a Pokemon Treasure Hunt, Pokemon-themed arts and crafts, face painting, bouncy castle along with games like Hook the Duck, Hoopla and Feed the Clown.

And the grown-ups will be entertained by the Clydeside Singers along with gardening tips and demonstrations from Cardwell’s green-fingered gardening experts. They can also take advantage of some Bank Holiday weekend special offers.

Cardwell’s general retail manager, Paul Carmichael said: “We’ll have our very own Detective Pikachu going round meeting everyone, but he won’t have trouble funding clues that there’s lots of fun being had at Cardwell this weekend.

“Our Family Fun Day is a great way of spending a few hours keeping youngsters amused and happy over the weekend.

“But there’s also plenty for the grown-ups to enjoy.”
