YOUNGSTERS Michael and Madeleine Glancy couldn’t believe their eyes when they bumped into a couple of Minions during a visit to Cardwell Garden Centre.

Michael, aged eight and his six-year-old sister, Madeleine spotted Minions, Stuart and Dave as the yellow creatures were checking out the garden centre before a special Minion Fun Weekend at Cardwell this Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9 between 11am and 4pm.

The youngsters had come all the way from Norway to visit their Aunt Caroline White, from Gourock and they got the Minions to help them water some plants at the garden centre.
The Minions told the kids they were taking a break from their new movie, Despicable Me 3, which was released last week and are looking forward to a weekend of fun with youngsters who come along to meet them at Cardwell Garden Centre.

As well as meeting up with Stuart and Dave, youngsters can take part in a Minion hunt, arts and crafts making Minion hats and balloons, getting their faces painted like Minions and having fun on a bouncy castle.

And children are being encouraged to come along to the Fun Weekend dressed as their favourite Minion with prizes for the best costumes.

Cardwell’s retail general manager, Paul Carmichael said: “I reckon the new Minion movie is going to be a massive hit this summer and we’re giving kids the chance to have even more Minion fun at Cardwell this weekend.”
