FANS of the new Peter Rabbit movie are being encouraged to hop along to Cardwell Garden Centre to see some real-live bunnies.
The centre has around 20 rabbits of all shapes, sizes and colour living in their Pet’s Corner attraction.
Now some of the rabbits have been given new names and are now called after characters in the movie, which is based on the Beatrix Potter book – The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
The film has been a huge hit with youngsters and features James Corden, as the voice of Peter Rabbit; Daisy Ridley, as Cottontail Rabbit; Margot Robbie, as Flopsy Rabbit and Elizabeth Debocvki, as Mopsy Rabbit.
As well as lots of rabbits, the Cardwell’s Pets Corner has six guinea pigs, two chinchillas, three cockerels, seven degus and an aviary with more than 60 birds including colourful budgies, canaries and finches.
Cardwell’s retail general manager, Paul Carmichael said: “Our Pet’s Corner is a huge attraction for youngsters – and adults as well – and our rabbits are very popular with visitors.
“We decided to join in the fun and excitement of the new Peter Rabbit movie being released. After seeing the adventures of Peter and his bunny pals in the cinema, we’re sure youngsters will enjoy coming along to Cardwell and seeing some real rabbits.
“They’ll definitely be in fur a good time, if they do!”
