Win a real Christmas tree if you find our AWOL Nutcracker soldier
BOSSES at Cardwell Garden Centre have sent out a search party for one of their Nutcracker soldiers who has gone AWOL.
The centre, near Gourock had recruited three eight-feet high Nutcrackers to stand to attention as they welcome visitors through a special Christmas-themed entrance.
But one of the soldiers has gone AWOL and Cardwell is asking for help to track him down after the Nutcracker trooper cheekily sent selfies of himself back to the garden centre.
Someone can win a real Christmas tree if they can identify all six landmarks at home and abroad that the Nutcracker has been hiding by looking at the selfie photos posted on the Cardwell Facebook page.
All you have to do is tell us in the comments below the photos which landmarks the Nutcracker has been to and share or tag someone you think might want to join the hunt for the missing soldier.
The search will be scaled down on Tuesday November 26th as we need to find the Nutcracker and bring him back to base for all the fabulous Christmas events and activities taking place at our Santa’s Grotto and throughout the garden centre.
Cardwell’s retail general manager, Paul Carmichael said: “Our two giant Nutcracker soldiers have become a real attraction for people visiting the centre in the run-up to Christmas.
“They really stand out when you walk through our special festive entrance, as they’re so big and have coloured lights on their uniforms.
“People have been taking lots of photos of their children standing next to the Nutcrackers and some grown ups have been sneaking a selfie or two as well.”
Paul added: “But we need to find our missing soldier so he can relieve the other ones for guard duty.”
