We’re all facing up to wearing a mask!

ALL the best superheroes wear masks and like them, so will the rest of us when we go shopping.

From Friday, July 10 the Scottish Government has made it mandatory for people to wear a face covering when they go into a shop.

And that means all visitors to Cardwell Garden Centre will have to wear a face covering – just like Batman, Zorro, Spiderman and the Lone Ranger!

Cardwell managing director, Drew Gallagher said: “We all have to do our bit if we’re going to beat this coronavirus. The medical advice to the Scottish Government is that along with other measures, people wearing a face covering will help stop the spread of the virus.

“I’m sure our visitors will understand that from Friday, July 10 it will be the law to wear a face covering inside a store and there could be an £60 fixed penalty fine from the police for anyone not wearing one.

“We’d like to thank all our customers for the support they have given us over the past few very difficult months and as always, a warm welcome awaits everyone who comes to visit us wearing a face covering.

“And if anyone sees a white stallion called Silver tied to a post in our car park, you’ll know the Lone Ranger is paying us a visit to buy some gardening essentials and he’s abiding by the face covering rules!”
