We’re cooking with gas as Patio Cafe reopens!

Well folks, it’s not pie in the sky any more because our Patio Cafe is reopening for sit-down dining indoors.

And what seems to be everyone’s favourite – steak pie – is one of several tasty dishes back on the menu!

Up till now, due to the coronavirus restrictions, we’ve only been able to offer visitors a carry-out service, but thanks to the easing of lockdown the Patio Cafe will re-open on Wednesday, July 15.

And to make sure everyone stays safe, we’ve reconfigured the tables in the cafe so they are each two metres apart.

Cardwell’s managing director, Drew Gallagher said: “As the saying goes, we’re cooking with gas now that lockdown restrictions have been eased and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the Patio Cafe.

“Bernadette, our cafe manager has been telling me that lots of people have been asking when our popular steak pie meal will be back on the menu. Well, now I’m pleased to say that this tasty dish is being served again.”

Also on the menu will be old favourites like soup, fish and chips, scampi, macaroni cheese, hamburgers and a daily special, as well as a variety of sandwiches, toasties, baguettes, baked potatoes and Paninis.

And let’s not forget Bernadette’s piece de resistance – her fabulous home baking with scones, strawberry tarts and meringues.

Drew added: “We’ll make sure we’re following all the Government’s health guidelines, so our visitors can feel safe and comfortable when they pay us a visit.

“And won’t it just be a great feeling to get back to some kind of normality and sit down in a cafe with real plates, cups and saucers.”

The Patio Cafe at Cardwell is open from 10am-4pm every day.
