Santa’s Welcome Weekend

Come and see Santa at Cardwell

FATHER Christmas will be on hand to greet everyone to the start of Cardwell Garden Centre’s festive celebrations this weekend.

The popular retail and leisure destination, near Gourock is holding a Santa’s Welcome Weekend to help get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Santa will be at Cardwell between noon and 4pm on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November to welcome everyone with a Ho!Ho!Ho! and a friendly wave – socially distanced, of course.

Youngsters can also enjoy an Elf Treasure Hunt and explore sELFie Land to take photos of themselves with animatronic animals and figures in a scene from the North Pole, as well as sitting in Santa’s sleigh and big chair.

The Patio Café will also have a special Festive Menu and during Santa’s Welcome Weekend there will be 10% off selected Christmas products.

Santa will be making regular visits to Cardwell between now and Christmas Eve as he’ll be at the centre every weekend to December 20 and every day from December 21 to December 24.

Cardwell’s retail general manager, Paul Carmichael said: “It’s been a tough few months for everyone with the coronavirus restrictions, but we want to put a smile of everyone’s face with all our Christmas attractions.

“Although we can’t have a grotto this year because of the Covid 19 restrictions, we made sure it was safe enough for Santa to come along to Cardwell and see all the children.

“A Cardwell Christmas is almost as traditional as turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings and we’ve gone all out to try to bring as much festive normality to everyone – young and old.”
