Christmas is coming early for visitors to Cardwell Garden Centre this weekend.

We’re having our popular Big Christmas Weekend on Saturday and Sunday December 5 and 6 and as well as a Santa’s sackfull of festive attractions for the kids, we’ve got some great discounts and special offers on selected items.

Look on it as our wee pressie to you before the big man with the white beard and wearing a red suit comes calling on Christmas Eve!

We’ll also have lots of real, freshly cut, Scottish-grown Christmas trees in various sizes on sale. The trees come from one of Europe’s best suppliers, based in Dumfriesshire and will look great in your home once you’ve added the fairy lights and baubles. And we’ve got plenty of those in our colourful Christmas decorations section at Cardwell.

To make sure everyone gets in the Christmas spirit Santa will be on his special socially-distanced balcony between noon and 4pm to welcome and wave to everyone coming into the garden centre.

Youngsters can also enjoy an Elf Treasure Hunt and explore sELFie Land to take photos of themselves with animatronic animals and figures in a scene from the North Pole, as well as sitting in Santa’s sleigh and big chair. Our Patio Café will also have a special Festive Menu for everyone to enjoy.

Santa tells us he’s looking forward to seeing everyone at Cardwell for some festive fun this weekend – and so are we.
