Cardwell Garden Centre. Lunderston Bay, By Gourock, Inverclyde. PA19 1BB

We’re ready for the big day when we re-open

Preparations for Cardwell’s return are well underway.

LOCKDOWN may have forced us to close Cardwell for a while, but we’ve not been letting the grass grow under our feet.

The good news is that we can re-open on Monday, April 5 and the even better news for customers is that we’ve been busy preparing to welcome you all back to the garden centre.

We’re making sure we have plenty new stock of flowering plants, seeds, compost, shrubs, bedding plants, gardening essentials, ceramic plant pots and decorative stoneware along with a few surprises when our regular customers walk through the doors again.

We’re creating a brand new outdoor living display – with a full range of garden furniture, chimeneas and barbeques – just inside the centre’s entrance, where the books and greetings cards section used to be.

As soon as you walk through our doors, you will also see displays of lots of seasonal and promotional offers of gardening products.

We’ll still have our extensive range of books and greetings cards, which has been moved further inside the centre.

Our plant nursery staff have been busy tending to hundreds of plug plants, cultivating them to the stage where they will be of the best quality when they go on sale.

Cardwell’s retail general manager, Paul Carmichael said: “We can’t wait to welcome back customers old and new and we’ve been working hard to make sure everything is spick and span for our re-opening.

“We’ll have plenty new stock and whatever people’s gardening needs are, we’ll be able to satisfy them with the best quality products.

“We appreciate how important gardening is to people’s physical and mental well-being and our re-opening comes just in time for the start of the garden growing season.”
